Adams – Newly appointed Town Accountant/Finance Director Ashley Satko will also serve as the new 5th member of the Adams Retirement Board. She will replace Crystal Adelt who recently resigned. The other Board members include Patricia Wol, Holly Jayko*, retired Selectman George Haddad and Beth Matson, who also serves as the Natick Retirement director. The Board’s administrator is Bill Flynn.
Barnstable County – Retired Dennis Firefighter Robert Rolanti, longtime Board member, chose not to run for reelection. The members elected Eastham Fire Captain Charles Frazier to replace him as one of their elected members on the Barnstable County Retirement Board. In a close election, Charles Frazier received 971 votes to Harwich Treasurer Amy Bullock’s 922 votes to secure the victory. The other members on the Board include Carol Coppola*, Ronald Bergstrom, TK Menesale and Hyannis Fire District retiree Harold Brunelle. The Barnstable Board executive director is Susy Bento Holmes.
Berkshire County – Stockbridge Treasurer Erika Oleson was named the new second member by the County Advisory Board to the Berkshire County Retirement Board. She replaces Egremont Treasurer Sue Funk. The other members on the Board are, Michael Ovitt*, retired Lanesboro Police Chief Mark Bashara, retired Police Chief Timothy Sorrel and Beth Matson, who also serves as Natick Retirement Board director. The Board’s executive director is Sheila LaBarbara.
Beverly – Wesley Slate Jr. was declared reelected by the Beverly Retirement Board. It will be Wesley’s second term on the Board. Board members who declared Mr. Slate reelected were Carol Augulewicz, Bryant Ayles*, Kevin Smith and Adam Travinski, who also serves as the executive director of the Melrose Retirement system. The Beverly Retirement director is Barbara Wells.
Fitchburg – The Fitchburg Retirement Board voted to reappoint John Brown to his second term as their 5th member. John is a retired Wilmington fire lieutenant who also serves on the Middlesex County Retirement Board as an elected member, and is the current VicePresident of the Mass Association of Contributory Retirement Systems. Board members making the appointment were Jacqueline Cronin*, Mary Cringan, Anna Farrell and retired Deputy Fire Chief Thomas Dateo, Jr.. The Board administrator is Tina Schneider.
Gloucester – Mayor Greg Verga named Jill Cahill, his chief administrative officer, to the Gloucester Retirement Board as his appointment, replacing Donna Leete. She joins the other members, Kenny Costa, retired Firefighter Douglas MacArthur*, James Hannon, and Linda Boucher, who also serves as the Concord Retirement Board’s executive director. The Board’s executive director is Patricia Ivas.
Pittsfield – The Pittsfield Retirement Board declared retired Firefighter Timothy Bartini reelected to his fourth term after defeating challenger, Pittsfield Housing Authority Director Tina Danzy. Bartini received 461 votes to Tina Danzy’s 123 votes. The Board members declaring the reelection of Mr. Bartini were Matthew Kerwood*, retired Firefighter and the Mass Retirees Berkshire County Area Vice President Timothy Hannigan, William Flynn, who also serves as the Adams Retirement Board administrator, and Bonnie Galant. The Pittsfield Retirement Board executive director is Karen Lancto.
Winchester – Recently retired Board Administrator Karen Manchuso was elected as a new member to the Winchester Retirement Board. Karen will fill the seat vacated by firefighter Philip Ciampa who did not run for reelection. She will join other Board members, Stacie Ward, CPA, Michael Lucas, CPA, Fire Lieutenant Robert Frary and Thomas Tracy. Winchester Retirement Board administrator is recently appointed Alice Munafo.
