New Officer & Members Introduced
Under the Association’s by-laws, the Executive Board members are elected bi-annually by the membership attending that particular annual meeting. Such bi-annual election was conducted at this September meeting.
Members unanimously elected the slate of officers put forward by the Association’s Nominating Committee. They are shown on page 20 (back) of this Voice and will be serving until September 2028.
There are three notable changes to the Board composition. With Judith Langone not seeking reelection, Anne Wass, who has been serving on the Executive Board, was elected the Association Secretary. Replacing Anne Wass on the Board is Erika Glaster, the retired Executive Director of the Teachers’ Retirement System who most recently served with President Frank Valeri on the Special COLA Study Commission. Also, with the unfortunate passing of Jim Vieira, Brian Curtin, retired Burlington Housing Authority Treasurer who currently serves on the Middlesex County Retirement Board, was elected as the Middlesex District Vice President.
