State Treasurer Deb Goldberg has announced the Mailing dates for State and Teacher pension checks for calendar year 2018. Also included are the direct deposit dates for those members who utilize that service through the Treasurer’s office.

Don’t forget that you must notify your respective Board (State or Teachers’) of any address or deposit change by the 15th of the month in which you wish to have the change made. Each month, the State and Teachers’ Boards provide the State Treasurer’s office with their respective records needed for the issuance of pension checks and direct deposits.
Most retirees utilize direct deposit, but some members prefer to receive a check in the mail each month. While retirement boards can require direct deposit, we hope they would respect the wishes of some who want a check in their hand and make an exception in those cases.
For those who have the pension check mailed to them, remember sometimes it may take an extra day or two particularly with today’s mail delivery.
